Prom night is not a party — legally and operationally
Every prom charter we run is strictly alcohol-free. Not “we'll turn a blind eye,” not “wink wink.” No alcohol on the vehicle, ever. We check coolers and bags at pickup for any charter where the manifest includes any passenger under 21. This is company policy and it's non-negotiable.
What that gets you: an actual insurance policy that would actually pay out; a driver who isn't worried about losing their CDL; and parents who can sleep. If you want a booze-cruise, we're not your provider. If you want a legit prom transportation service, keep reading.
Sizing by Baltimore school
What our returning families typically book:
- Loyola Blakefield (all-boys): A single-gender bus for the guys is common — 20 or 30-passenger party bus for 12–20 friends going to a Federal Hill photo stop then to Merriweather or downtown venue.
- Roland Park Country School / Bryn Mawr (all-girls): Similar — 20-passenger bus for 12–16 friends, often paired with an equivalent Gilman or Boys Latin group meeting at a shared photo location.
- Gilman School (all-boys): Typically 20 or 30-passenger, often coordinated with Bryn Mawr or Roland Park groups.
- Boys' Latin of Maryland: 14 to 20-passenger for smaller friend groups.
- McDonogh School (Owings Mills): 20 or 30-passenger; the school is far enough out that consolidated transport actually saves parent-driver hassle.
- Notre Dame Prep, Calvert Hall, Loyola Blakefield combined-friend groups: 30-passenger party bus is the sweet spot.
- Dulaney, Towson, Loch Raven, Perry Hall, Hereford (BCPS): Usually 20-passenger with 12–18 friends going to a Timonium or Towson photo stop.
- Bel Air HS, John Carroll School, C. Milton Wright (Harford): 20-passenger to a Rockfield Manor or MARC-lot photo stop, then to the school's prom venue.
The prom-night timeline
The 6-hour Friday/Saturday standard:
- 4:30 PM: Bus arrives at first pickup (typically the “host parent” house).
- 5:00 PM: Group photos at a designated location (Federal Hill overlook, Cylburn, Patterson Park, MARC lot, or the host parent's front yard).
- 6:30 PM: Dinner reservation. We stay parked with the vehicle during dinner (driver on the clock, not roaming).
- 8:30 PM: Drop-off at prom venue.
- 11:00–11:30 PM: Return pickup at the venue.
- 11:30 PM–1:00 AM: Straight home drops to each teen's residence (parent-approved address only).
The vehicle stays with the group the entire night — no “we'll pick you up later, text us.” That's not how professional prom charter works.
Parent authorization
Every prom booking requires:
- A single “parent host” who signs the booking contract and is the point of financial and communication authority.
- A parent-signed manifest listing every teen passenger with a legal guardian's contact number.
- A chaperone: either a parent riding along OR a designated Baltimore Trips staff chaperone (available on request, $150 flat added).
- Written home-drop addresses for every teen — the driver hits each address in order and does not deviate.
We email a downloadable parent-authorization packet 7 days before the prom, and it must be returned signed 48 hours before pickup. Non-negotiable. This protects the teens and protects the family — several of our recurring families were referred to us specifically because we require this.
Prom pricing
- 20-passenger party bus, 6-hour prom night: $1,170–$1,650 all-in.
- 30-passenger party bus, 6-hour prom night: $1,470–$2,070 all-in.
- 10-passenger stretch limo, 5-hour prom night: $825–$1,150.
- 14-passenger executive Sprinter, 5-hour prom night: $875–$1,225.
- Optional chaperone service: $150 flat.
- Extra hour beyond quoted block: hourly rate prorated.
Prom pricing does not include gratuity (industry standard 15–20%). Prom season runs April–early June and is our tightest availability window of the year — book by early March for peak weekends.

Most families pick two: a group-shot location and a couples-shot location. Both stops are built into the timeline.
Prom charter — frequently asked
How early do we need to book?
For the peak Baltimore-area prom weekends (mid-April through late May), book by early March at latest. The most popular vehicles (20 and 30-pax party buses) fill first.
Is alcohol really zero-tolerance, no exceptions?
Yes. Any coolers or bags with alcohol are removed at pickup. A prom booking where any passenger is under 21 is a dry charter, always. Parents who want otherwise should look elsewhere — we won't take the booking.
What if a teen shows up drunk to pickup?
They don't board. The driver contacts the parent host immediately. This is written into the parent-authorization packet and has never surprised a family.
Do you handle the home-drop routing for us?
Yes — you provide the addresses in the pickup order that makes sense (or we optimize it), and the driver runs the exact route. No deviations, no “we'll stop at a diner” adds.
What if my teen's group is smaller — do I need to rent a whole bus?
Not necessarily — a 10-passenger stretch limo or 14-passenger Sprinter is often the right call for 6–10 friends. Ask us to quote both a limo and a bus at your group size and compare.
Can we coordinate two groups from different schools sharing one bus?
Yes — this happens especially with Baltimore's all-boys / all-girls schools where friend groups cross school lines. One parent host is still required as the booking authority.
