Preakness Shuttle — Pimlico Charter Bus & Infield Party Transport
Preakness weekend charter bus to Pimlico Race Course. Corporate hospitality, infield party groups, sober rides home. Book by January — sells out every year.
Preakness weekend is not a normal Saturday
Pimlico Race Course during Preakness weekend gets 100,000+ people. Parking is a nightmare. Uber surge is 4-6x. And nobody in the infield is sober enough to drive home safely at 8 PM. Charter is the only way.
What we do for Preakness
- Infield party shuttles — pickup at Baltimore neighborhoods (Federal Hill, Fell's Point, Inner Harbor hotels), dropoff at the infield gate, pickup at the designated bus lot 30 minutes after the last race.
- Corporate hospitality transport — hospitality suites, VIP boxes, sponsor tents. Executive Sprinter or 30-passenger minicoach with wifi.
- Black-Eyed Susan Day (Friday) — smaller crowd, still worth chartering. Friday shuttles are cheaper + easier to book last-minute.
- Post-race hotel shuttles — for the after-parties at the Sagamore Pendry, Fours Seasons, etc.
Best-fit vehicles
- 20–30 passenger party bus for friend groups — LED, coolers, party the whole way there
- 40 passenger party bus for company outings + big friend groups
- 56 passenger motorcoach for corporate hospitality (comfortable seating, restroom for the long day)
Booking timeline (CRITICAL)
Preakness weekend sells out our fleet 4–5 months in advance. Book by January for the third Saturday in May. Waiting until March means paying premium pricing and getting scraps. Waiting until April means driving yourself.
2027 note
Preakness returns to Pimlico in 2027 after the 2026 stopover at Laurel Park during Pimlico redevelopment. Full 2027 Preakness charter bus guide here — includes the reopening logistics + new infrastructure at renovated Pimlico.
