About Historic Baltimore Museums & USS Constellation Group Transportation

USS Constellation is at Pier 1, 301 E Pratt St, Baltimore, MD 21202. Publicly available sources confirm guided tours and that tickets can be purchased ahead of time or in person, but detailed group-tour procedures for prebooking, check-in, or minimum group rules are not publicly documented in the sources gathered.

Baltimore Museum of Art is at 10 Art Museum Drive, Baltimore, MD 21218. The museum says groups of 8 or more should contact Visitor Experience at [email protected] or 443-573-1701 for group policies; specific group entry procedures beyond that are not publicly documented in the sources gathered.

Fort McHenry National Monument is at 2400 E Fort Ave, Baltimore, MD 21230. Motor-coach parking details were not publicly documented in the sources gathered, and the ranger-led program schedule was not fully documented either; the National Park Service does note that board-the-ship and similar guided activities may be available at nearby historic sites, but Fort McHenry-specific ranger program timing needs direct verification from the park.

For a typical multi-stop day tour, a practical Baltimore itinerary is Inner Harbor maritime stop first, then the BMA, then Fort McHenry, because those sites are geographically workable for coach routing and are all in Baltimore. A common pattern is 60–90 minutes at USS Constellation, 60–90 minutes at the BMA for groups, and 90–120 minutes at Fort McHenry including a short ranger talk if scheduled; exact timing depends on group size, traffic, and reservation status, and those itinerary durations are not publicly documented.

Why Baltimore Groups Book Us for Baltimore Historic Sites

Baltimore Trips has been dispatching group transportation to Charm City venues since 2015 — over a decade of Ravens Sundays, Orioles home stands, waterfront concerts, and school field trips have taught us exactly what does and does not work in this market. The single biggest lesson: motor-coach access at downtown Baltimore venues is tightly restricted, and every venue has a preferred group-vehicle drop-off point that is not obvious from the venue's public website. Show up at the wrong gate and you will circle Camden Yards or M&T Bank Stadium for 40 minutes trying to find one that will let a 45-foot coach turn around.

Our dispatchers pre-clear every drop-off and pickup with the venue's guest-services desk 48 hours before your trip. Your driver arrives with a printed lot-hold agreement, the correct gate number for your specific event (which often changes based on that day's road closures for the Baltimore Marathon, Preakness, or a Ravens playoff run), and a working cell number for the venue's motor-coach coordinator in case anything moves.

The alternative — a rideshare-app group booking that dumps your 30 guests at whatever curb the app decides — is the difference between a smooth event and the story your group tells about how everyone missed the first inning.

Getting to Baltimore Historic Sites: The Logistics

Baltimore's downtown venues cluster tightly around Inner Harbor, which makes for great walkable pre-event dining but tricky motor-coach parking. Every one of our Baltimore historic museum group runs is dispatched with a pre-scouted drop-off point, a lot-hold agreement with the venue, and a printed passenger manifest so the driver knows exactly where each passenger boards and returns.

Venue address: Inner Harbor, Baltimore, MD 21202. We route around Baltimore's I-83 / I-95 congestion using local knowledge — every driver runs this area 200+ times a year.

Sample Trips We Run

  • Ravens Sunday tailgate to Baltimore Historic Sites. 56-passenger coach from an Inner Harbor hotel block. Departure at 8:30am for a 1pm kickoff — the driver runs a 4-hour tailgate window in the assigned parking lot with the coach cabin open for phone charging and warmup, then loads immediately after the final whistle for a safe return with everyone accounted for.
  • Corporate suite night at Baltimore Historic Sites. 30-passenger party bus circulating from a downtown corporate office at 5:30pm. LED interior lighting, premium sound, cooler bar pre-stocked with client-approved refreshments. Coach drops at the premium suite-holder entry and is held on-site through the post-game networking reception.
  • Concert group to Baltimore Historic Sites. 40-passenger motor coach from a BWI-area hotel block. Arrives 90 minutes prior to gates for early merch and dinner-in-the-lot, holds through the show, and holds an additional 30 minutes post-encore so the group avoids the parking-lot exit crush entirely.
  • School field trip to Baltimore Historic Sites. 56-passenger mini-coach from a Baltimore-County school. Chaperone-friendly boarding process with a printed roster, colored wristbands for each chaperone group, 3-stop day-tour itinerary combining the venue with a second Baltimore landmark and a lunch stop.
  • Fan-club road trip. Two-coach convoy from Frederick MD and Annapolis MD meeting at the venue. Coordinated tailgate lot arrival within a 15-minute window, group photo before gates open, safe late-night return with each coach dropping at the original pickup point.
  • Wedding-weekend event add-on. Party bus for a 20-person wedding party spending Friday night at Baltimore Historic Sites for an Orioles or Ravens game — the wedding block's rehearsal-dinner alternative before Saturday's main event.
  • Bachelor party at Baltimore Historic Sites. 30-passenger party bus from a Fells Point hotel, arriving 2 hours before first pitch for tailgate beers, in for the game, then out for a late-night Federal Hill bar crawl.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book transportation for Baltimore Historic Sites?

For Baltimore Historic Sites, we recommend booking 6 to 8 weeks out for weekend events. Peak-season Saturdays (April-June and September-November) book out 3 to 4 months in advance. Corporate weeknight and small-group weekday trips can often be booked same-week. For the true peak — Preakness weekend, Ravens home Sundays in September/October, USNA Commissioning Week — we recommend 4-6 months of lead time.

What is your cancellation policy?

Deposits are refundable if cancelled 14 or more days before the trip. Between 7 and 14 days, 50% of the deposit is held. Inside 7 days, the deposit is retained. Full-charter deposits (weddings, multi-day corporate blocks) may vary; the exact terms are always spelled out in the signed agreement before payment.

Are your drivers licensed and insured?

Every Baltimore Trips chauffeur holds a valid Maryland CDL with passenger endorsement, passes DOT drug and alcohol testing, and completes an annual background check. Every vehicle is DOT-registered under our MC number and covered by a $5,000,000 commercial auto liability policy plus additional passenger-injury coverage.

Can we bring alcohol on the vehicle?

Alcohol is allowed for passengers 21 and over on party buses and stretch limos, at the customer's discretion. Coolers are provided free of charge and the driver will stock them with ice on request. Alcohol is never allowed on school-group, prom, homecoming, or minor-group bookings — this is a firm policy, not a case-by-case call. Chauffeurs are always alcohol-free during and immediately before shifts.

Do you provide certificates of insurance to venues?

Yes. Many Baltimore-area venues (including Baltimore Historic Sites and downtown hotel blocks) require a certificate of insurance ahead of arrival, often naming the venue as additional insured. We provide one free of charge — just forward us the venue's requirements when you book and we'll handle the paperwork.

Is gratuity included in the quote?

Gratuity is not included in the base quote. Industry standard is 18 to 20 percent of the base charter total, paid to the chauffeur directly at trip end or added to the final invoice on request. For extraordinary service (multi-day contracts, difficult logistics) many clients tip above 20 percent.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), ACH bank transfer, corporate check, and Zelle for smaller deposits. A signed booking agreement plus deposit locks the vehicle onto our calendar; the remaining balance is due 72 hours before pickup.

Do you offer package pricing for multi-vehicle bookings?

Yes. For Baltimore Historic Sites groups needing more than one vehicle (very common for weddings, corporate events, and Preakness), we quote a combined package rate that is typically 8-15% less than the individual per-vehicle sum. Multi-day contracts get a further discount.
