Prom Party Bus Rental in Columbia, MD

About Prom Party Bus Rental Columbia MD

River Hill High School’s 2026 prom was Friday, May 12, from 7:00–10:00 PM at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel, 202 E Pratt Street, Baltimore, MD 21202. River Hill also stated that no one would be admitted after 8:00 PM and that attendees needed photo ID and a ticket.

Howard High School’s 2026 prom was Saturday, May 2, from 7:00–10:00 PM at M&T Stadium, with parking in a stadium lot. Howard High School’s after-prom was the same night, 10:00 PM–2:00 AM, at Dave & Buster’s.

For the other listed Howard County schools — Wilde Lake, Atholton, Long Reach, Oakland Mills, and Reservoir — prom details were not publicly documented in the information gathered here. Typical Howard County prom timing is usually spring, most often April or May, but exact dates by school are not publicly documented for every school in the available records.

Common prom venues in the Columbia / Baltimore / BWI orbit include downtown Baltimore hotels and event spaces, such as the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel in downtown Baltimore. The Howard High School example shows M&T Stadium as a Baltimore venue for a prom, and that location is also used for large-group events with stadium-lot parking. I did not find publicly documented, school-linked prom venue examples specifically in the BWI area for the schools named here.

If needed, a school-by-school prom planning sheet can be built with only publicly documented venue, date, and parking facts.

Why Baltimore-Area Parents Trust Us with Prom & Homecoming

Baltimore Trips has been running prom and homecoming charters since 2015 without a single serious safety incident. That statistic matters because it is not the norm for the industry — most every prom season, a Baltimore-area news outlet reports a party-bus accident, an underage-drinking incident, or a driver-abandonment story from one of the many pop-up, cash-only, one-vehicle operators that flood the market every April.

What we do differently: every prom or homecoming chauffeur is a full-time Baltimore Trips employee (not a 1099 contractor, not a subcontracted vehicle), every driver holds a current Maryland CDL with passenger endorsement, every driver is randomly DOT drug-tested, and every driver's route is monitored in real time by our dispatch team. If your teen's vehicle deviates from the manifest for more than 5 minutes, our dispatcher is on the phone with the driver immediately.

We also charge more than the pop-up operators. That is intentional. The difference is what pays for the insurance, the maintenance, the drug testing, and the driver salaries that add up to your teen coming home safe.

Parent-Approved Prom & Homecoming Safety

Every Baltimore Trips prom or homecoming charter includes: a Maryland CDL-licensed chauffeur (never a sub-contractor), a printed passenger manifest with each teen's pickup and drop-off address, a strict alcohol-and-drug-free policy for passengers under 21, and a $5,000,000 commercial insurance policy. Chauffeurs are drug-tested and background-checked.

Baltimore-area parents book us because we take the after-dance drop-off seriously — the driver confirms each teen is at their listed home address before continuing. We are not the cheapest option, but we are the option parents pick when the answer to 'who is driving?' actually matters.

Sample Trips We Run

  • Classic 20-pax prom bus. 20-passenger party bus for a group of 18 juniors. Pre-dinner pickups across two neighborhoods, dinner drop at a Baltimore-area steakhouse, dance venue drop, safe late-night return with confirmed drop-off at each teen's home address on the manifest.
  • Combined-school 40-pax. 40-passenger party bus with two schools joining forces for one prom — often a public + a private school couple. LED lighting, premium sound, chaperone-approved chauffeur, single flat rate split between the families.
  • Homecoming after-party loop. 30-passenger party bus after the dance running kids from home to a group's basement/backyard after-party then home before curfew. Parents watch the live GPS link and know exactly when their kid is being picked up.
  • Small-group stretch limo. 10-passenger Escalade stretch for the varsity captain's tight friend group — a more formal-feel alternative to the party bus, with photos and a red-carpet arrival that make the school lobby shot.
  • Multi-vehicle friend caravan. Party bus + stretch SUV for a 30-teen group where half wanted the bus vibe and half wanted the limo photos. Coordinated pickup timing so the two vehicles arrive at the dance together for the group photo.
  • Cross-town prom transportation. 40-passenger motor coach for students traveling from a suburban school to a downtown Baltimore prom venue. Handles the 45-minute one-way distance without teens driving themselves.
  • Grand-arrival stretch Hummer. Hummer stretch SUV for the girl or guy who wants the most dramatic entrance of the night — visible from a block away, unforgettable.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book transportation for Columbia MD area high schools?

For Columbia MD area high schools, we recommend booking 6 to 8 weeks out for weekend events. Peak-season Saturdays (April-June and September-November) book out 3 to 4 months in advance. Corporate weeknight and small-group weekday trips can often be booked same-week. For the true peak — Preakness weekend, Ravens home Sundays in September/October, USNA Commissioning Week — we recommend 4-6 months of lead time.

What is your cancellation policy?

Deposits are refundable if cancelled 14 or more days before the trip. Between 7 and 14 days, 50% of the deposit is held. Inside 7 days, the deposit is retained. Full-charter deposits (weddings, multi-day corporate blocks) may vary; the exact terms are always spelled out in the signed agreement before payment.

Are your drivers licensed and insured?

Every Baltimore Trips chauffeur holds a valid Maryland CDL with passenger endorsement, passes DOT drug and alcohol testing, and completes an annual background check. Every vehicle is DOT-registered under our MC number and covered by a $5,000,000 commercial auto liability policy plus additional passenger-injury coverage.

Can we bring alcohol on the vehicle?

Alcohol is allowed for passengers 21 and over on party buses and stretch limos, at the customer's discretion. Coolers are provided free of charge and the driver will stock them with ice on request. Alcohol is never allowed on school-group, prom, homecoming, or minor-group bookings — this is a firm policy, not a case-by-case call. Chauffeurs are always alcohol-free during and immediately before shifts.

Do you provide certificates of insurance to venues?

Yes. Many Baltimore-area venues (including Columbia MD area high schools and downtown hotel blocks) require a certificate of insurance ahead of arrival, often naming the venue as additional insured. We provide one free of charge — just forward us the venue's requirements when you book and we'll handle the paperwork.

Is gratuity included in the quote?

Gratuity is not included in the base quote. Industry standard is 18 to 20 percent of the base charter total, paid to the chauffeur directly at trip end or added to the final invoice on request. For extraordinary service (multi-day contracts, difficult logistics) many clients tip above 20 percent.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), ACH bank transfer, corporate check, and Zelle for smaller deposits. A signed booking agreement plus deposit locks the vehicle onto our calendar; the remaining balance is due 72 hours before pickup.

Do you offer package pricing for multi-vehicle bookings?

Yes. For Columbia MD area high schools groups needing more than one vehicle (very common for weddings, corporate events, and Preakness), we quote a combined package rate that is typically 8-15% less than the individual per-vehicle sum. Multi-day contracts get a further discount.
